Airsoft BBs: Standard, Bio & Tracer Explained
Not all BBs are created equal - and as a retailer, stocking the right types means fast-moving stock, happier customers, and repeat orders.
Standard BBs are the usual choice. White, polished, non-degradable - built for indoor fields, casual play, and high-volume use. They're what most players start with and keep coming back to when price and consistency matter most.
Bio BBs are growing in popularity - and increasingly, in requirement. Many outdoor fields across Europe now mandate biodegradable ammo, and that number is rising. Stocking bio isn't just an eco gesture: it's the entry ticket to a growing share of your market.
Tracer BBs serve a specific but loyal niche: night games and milsim events. Charged by a tracer unit, they glow on exit. Margins are better - and players who use tracer units have already made the investment. They won't substitute.
The catch? Inconsistent diameter, unpolished edges, and uneven weight kill accuracy and jam replicas. The cheapest manufacturers consistently underdeliver on all three, so don't fall for this trap and select reputable brands.
BLS produces all three formats to the same exacting standard: 5.95mm ±0.05mm tolerance means consistent groupings across different replica brands and zero jams in semi and full-auto fire. Zero barrel residue. Zero breakage.
